Design
A leading innovator in shoulder arthroplasty and rotator cuff repair, Dr. Spencer has designed a number of new implants and surgical techniques, the first of which was the first stemless shoulder replacement approved for use in the United States.
But he didn’t stop there. Over time, he joined teams that designed a second-generation stemless shoulder replacement as well as specialized components and tools that allow surgeons to tailor-fit shoulder replacements to each patient’s needs, providing an approach to shoulder arthroplasty that customizes each surgery to a patient’s specific anatomy. Below, you will find pictures of Dr. Spencer’s most recent design efforts, including a specialized instrument set and baseplate used in reverse shoulder arthroplasty, further advancing the field of total shoulder arthroplasty.
